continuous lighting help?

I would like to know what would be a good light to purchase for indoor work with continuous lighting. Thanks ahead of time for your help!!!!

There are a number of daylight balanced bulbs available on the market but I am unsure as to how accurate they are when compared to real daylight. If you are using the light coming in from outdoors through a north facing window it will be rather blue. The color temperature of the light coming through an east, south or west facing window will change during the day depending on the sun and clouds and so forth.

I think I would use a huge silver reflector or two because regardless of the color temperature of the light the silver will simply redirect it. I assume you know your ISO will be high and your aperture will be large and your shutter speed will be slow when using window light. These are three things that will fight you which is why 99% of portrait photographers use studio flash units.
