anyone know if the D70s's AC adapter will work with the stupid faux-battery for a D7000?

Also, took the D7K + Rokinon 14/2.8 to yet another car show yesterday. I love this lens so much. It's paid itself off a thousand times over (well not really but still).

For those of you interested in a Nikon forum this is a fairly good one at http://nikonites.com/forum/. (external link)
It just needs more participants to get it going good.

Honestly, and no offense intended, most of it is quite old and its only going to sell quick if its in great shape with all accessories and that at a decently low price, Everything you listed is quite rare and common, and except the Sigma 14, not something most people will be looking for

Thanks Kenji, yep don't expect it to sell quickly, The film cameras have been sitting in my closet for ages. The D70 though has been a great camera for me. I traded over to Canon 5D11 and love it. :D maybe i'' see if I can just sell the whole lot for between 600 to 700.

^- Thats what I did with my nikon setup, I seperated the D70 + 18-70 from the rest though because at the time the D70 was still pretty current (And I got like $750 for it?) but the rest of my lenses and bodies got lumped up in one auction for $500 or so because none were really worth much..

A friend here uses a D70 in an underwater housing and gets great results from it. As the housings are so expensive and don't work with other bodies she's rather locked in and can't economically upgrade. Recently she had a major failure somewhere inside the camera which knocked out metering and AF, but she was surprised it only cost about $200 to have fixed. Guess a PCB had gone bad, and they don't cost much these days.

I picked up a 50 F1.4 G today. I tested it in store with a D7000 (nice camera btw even if it feels like a bit of a toy) and it worked fine.

Your wife must be angry a lot then!

I don't have a wife, and i've only been with my girlfriend for a couple of months, so no problem! I put important dates into google calendar, which syncs with my iPod Touch, so I don't miss anything important :)

^- Awesome! :)

Why the 1.8 over the 1.4 by the way?

1.4 has a reputation of being very slow to focus. Focus speed is more important to me than half a stop, or a small amount of image quality. I figured the 1.8 G would be decent enough.

It's also a backup. I could probably manage to photograph a whole wedding with the 50mm lens if I had to. I'd rather not try, but I want to be able to. I also want to get another low end Nikon with a 18-100 type lens some time too, as backup and for my assistant to use. She has her own Nikon though, so no hurry really.

he never liked the 1.4 Kenji... and the 1.8 is newer and probably better if it is anything like the 35mm f/1.8 DX lens :D

I haven't tried the 1.4 personally, but many people say the same thing, so I don't bother. The Sigma 50 can't focus accurately for me, neither copy i've tried, even after calibration.

1. The layout is so different. Nikon seems to be very complicated at 1st glance. That is what I was given the impression when I just pass by show cases in camera shops. But when I actually spend time to try them out, I find that a lot of settings I can intuitively set around my fingers. Just a press of button, plus some knobs turning, I can easily set a setting.

Don't forget that Canon has a different control layout with the 1D series.

My imagine composition sucks. I need a heavier lens.

Chippy the D7000 + Rokinon 14mm combo looks great. I'm liking that camera more and more every day.

This wasn't taken with a Nikon, but I thought you guys might like it anyways...

definitely the best $300 lens out there, plus it's full-frame ready too. My only gripe is no filters.

ps i'll take one of those 700's when its replacement comes out.
