I love the D7000 and the 35mm DX is a sick combo.

No offense but i HAVE heard Nikon's 24-70 has a nasty bug with the zoom ring sometime being a bit wonky....So i guess its not all 100% peachy

I think Nikon fixed those issues, two of my friends who have bought the lens in 2010 don't have any sticky zoom or light leak problems.

Correct. Those issues were addressed.

Anyone know where I can find a used D700 from?

Nikon USA refrub is your best chance. They usually restock D700 once a month and sold out same day afternoon.

If the new bodies had been announced then I would have a D700 for sale. ;)

That's old enough I actually forgot about it.

I don't have either of those problems.

I don't either. Neither of the two copies of the 24-70mm that I had suffered from those problems.

The combo of the 50g and D7000 looks good together. After playing with a D3 for the past 6 months this thing feels tiny.

Yeah, wanted a (cheaper) DSLR to hold me over until the new bodies are released.

The 17-55 f2.8 is incoming.

Congrats! After humming and hawing I've decided I can't bear to part with mine. I think I'll just keep it and the 35/1.8 DX for walkaround. Great pic you took with yours! What a great lens eh! :)
