How much of a problem could the D800E have with patterns? Does it matter that much? Even if there were an issue, I've skimmed by a software that fixes this pattern issue anyway.

The only think that Im going to be adding alot of is lenses. I like lenses both from Nikon and Canon. Nikon zooms are awesome. Primes not as awesome. Check it out on the Nikon site, that's 14 bit uncompressed. You can go for 12 bit compressed which is around a third the size, from memory. I honestly don't know the answer to that atm since LR4 is supposed to have a moire removal tool.
