I've used them all, this is my opinion...

14-24G vs. 16-35L II = 14-24G sharper and less distortion but the 16-35 has the more user friendly range IMO.
24-70G vs. 24-70L = 24-70G and it's not even close
70-200G II vs. 70-200L II = Draw, both are great
85 1.4G vs. Sigma 85 vs. Canon 85 1.2L II = 85/1.2 IMO, the other two are comparable.

The only lens in this bunch I wouldn't want is the Canon 24-70L, all the others are really great optically.

Im thinking of adding D800, 14-24G, 24-70G, Canon 70-200 II (for 5D), and either the Nikon 85 1.4G or the Canon 85L II. Lucky for me I still have a long time to decide.

Lucky you! You'll have an amazing combo with the D800. WIll you have another Nikon body to use before you get the D800?

Not atm. :) I'll just have to wait till I get it. Since this changes my plan of attack, the next lens will be the 24-70 G. I can work with the 14-24, 24-70, and 85 1.4 G. :)

Ugh my dream combo at the moment! Ive been watching videos on the 85G and 14-24G and those are just gorgeous bits of glass. Im taking my business plans more serious as each day passes. Im strongly going to consider my future "pro" set up ;) Still have a few more months to iron things out.

Just saw a D3x at FM for $4450. The value is dropping fast even though the D800E is two months out.

That'll be the April price. ;)

Someone else had a trade on there, D3s for D3x. If I had a D3x I would do it in a heart beat. A D800 would compliment that body well. Not to mention the D3s will hold it's value better.
