24MP FF for $1500? Shenanigans.

If that somehow came true, I would switch to Nikon.

At some point, the idea of a 36MP FF for $3000 was also ludicrous.

I don't know, I find the IQ out of both to be very similar and I would give the edge to Canon's simply because of the IS.

A 24MP for $1500 now is ludicrous. I didn't say ever. I'll be happy to eat my words if it comes true, but I don't see it happening this year.

I see you're back from your trip, any sight of the D800 yet? A new load of D700 bodies are showing up, I'm debating whether to get one or not.

The 6mm fisheye. Can't tell which version it is but some high off the hog site in London is offering it for $100k. As I recall this was a special order item and the last I can recall seeing it offered was in the mid '90s,

A stripped down full frame body? I don't think I like the sound of that. Then again if it ends up doing 10 FPS at 24MP per file it may be interesting.

The D700 is probably the better value if Nikon is trying to do a sub-$2k full-frame.
