Wow... why is Nikon so stingy? Is capture NX2 good? It costs almost as much as LR3 does!

I've read mixed reviews, but it does seem to do a better job with RAW conversion than PS or LR on Nikon files. So, if you're all about getting maximum IQ out of your NEFs, it may be worth considering.

So all ViewNX lets me do is organize and convert raws? ...

Yep, handy. But not as good as DPP

Capture NX2 is Nikon's editor, isn't it? I think you have to pay for it.

Yes and yes.

Because it's actually a really good SINGLE PICTURE editor. I say single picture, because it is sloooooow.

Unfortunately Nikon have discontinued the SB-600. I picked up a couple yesterday at my local Best Buy where they still have them in stock but I guarantee they'll all be gone soon! Just checked my local stores on their web site and my store and another one nearby are cleaned out already. I'm using mine as slaves too.

Metz 50 AF-1! I AM LOVING MINE!!!!!

Will you be ditching your 5DC or using it alongside the D7000?

The retouching is a bit heavy for my taste, but she's certainly a beautiful girl. Nice hat!
