anyone have any experience with the Nikon 200mm f2? I'm interested in it.
I've seen some samples from it that are jaw dropping. I haven't had a chance to shoot with one personally though. It is highly regarded from everything I've read.

But my sensor is already very dirty. I don't change lenses often, and it's not windy here at all. Have no idea how it's gotten this dirty already. The stock sensor cleaning process doesn't help much. Is this just something I have to get used to with full frame? Interesting. I've never cleaned my D700's sensor myself in 2.5 years (it's been in for service twice). While I almost never stop down past f8, I've also never noticed visible dust/muck in my shooting.

It accepts TCs very well even the 2x TCIII to get a 400mm f4. Regards,

We were discussing lenses such as the 17-35. The 17-35mm have aperture ring. If I had that lens, I would use the aperture ring. I use the aperture ring on all lenses that have it, also "modern CPU lenses".

It seems as if we're going off into semantics here. While you may use the aperture ring most people don't and prefer to have the camera control the aperture. I started having no choice and spent many years adjusting apreture with the ring and I don't see the need to play with the ring when the camera can do so.
