70-200 f/4G VR is official

Something about it is bugging me.. I dunno.. I think the picture makes it look more consumer-level than Pro..

$1399, Kinda eh on the price, Fair but a bit on the high side to me personally... Love the idea of 5-stop VR however, if it works

Awesome. IMO the price is right... only $50 more than Canon's 4 stop version. Though Canon's tripod collar is only $150.

I can't wait until the images taken with this lens from the bloggers surface.

Indeed

The Nikon focuses closer from the looks, Or at least has a higher MM... That interests me

I'm skipping the 70-200, I'm waiting for the update to the 80-400, That has to be one of their next announcements.

That could be cool if Nikon does it first

You know what i think it is? The location of the nameplate! I know it sounds stupid but i think itd look better with the nameplay in the same spot as on the f/2.8...

Look, i dont care, so long as its got great optics/AF/VR and is built well (Which i dont doubt) then id buy it...I'm just saying i think it looks odd

BTW, is Nikon pulling the same stunt as Canon and making you pay $150 for a $10 collar?

$223.95 unless that is included with it.

Edit: Not included with it. Just checked the included accessories section.
