Okay thanks guys. I dont know why im getting so confused, ive used CS5 for many months now. Most of the time i dont use Mini Bridge as its somewhat slow (unless i want to use RAW editing using a JPEG). So what i do is go to the folder on my desktop that i want to edit and just double click and open the RAW file, the RAW file opens the RAW program in CS5 and thats where i make my changes, When i make my edits i hit Open (or whatever it is) and hit "save as".

I must read my Scott Kelby Photoshop book tonight.

Well, I can agree with that!

These things can be complex, but not all that complicated! I'd suggest a good book on Camera Raw -- "Real World Camera Raw" is a classic. That book will provide you with a flow from Raw processing into Photoshop.

Often simply restarting PS will solve the "out of RAM" problem. Sometimes you may have to start your whole computer, or turn off other memory intensive programs you may be running.

Personally, I usually just save to JPEG unless it's an image I've done a LOT of work on and think I may want to come back later and modify.

Thanks guys, i guess ill just have to hit reset. I read the book and it says to hit "Done" and not open image in camera RAW. But what happens if im working on a RAW file and i hit "Done"? Thanks guys

If you are working on a Raw image you are in Camera Raw. This seems to be where your confusion is -- Camera Raw is the only way of working on your Raw image. When you click Done, it closes Camera Raw and goes back to Bridge, where you can do the various tasks you need to do in Bridge. The adjustments you made in Camera Raw will still be visible. You can in Bridge do things like copy settings to other images and such -- go through the Bridge menus to see what's possible.

And, of course, you can Open an image from Camera Raw into the Photoshop editor, at which point you are no longer working on a Raw image but on a rendered bitmap image.

Thanks again Tony. I do understand the differences but now I know I can hit reset for the raw files to go back to its original state

You can also save your changes as a snapshot in ACR and they're stored in the xmp file.

You are referring to ACR?
It should be there I think (not on a Mac that has PSCS5 on it, so cannot check)

In LR3, there's this:

I'd presume ACR6 to be similar.

Can you post a screen shot of the contents of your lens correction tab in ACR?

What version of Adobe Camera Raw do you have on your Mac? Maybe it needs to be updated.

Some Canon stuff and a little bit of Yongnuo.
