I was on doubt about the T2i or the 60D but today while browsing amazon found that the 60D with 18-135 was for $1199

So I pull the trigger.

But I really didnt knew what to do.. Get body only on ebay + tamron on ebay 17-50 for 50 bucks more..

When I was shooting Sony I had the 17-50 and it's an awesome lens, but sometimes I would love to be bit longer.

So officially I'm ex-sony alpha user.

You can get a refurbished 7D for about that much.

Well yeah, but I don't like the size/weight of the 7D.

The 18-135mm lens is a decent lens. When I bought my T2i, I bought it with that lens. :)

Congrats! The focal length on the 18-135 is REALLY nice to have, and it's a very decent walk-around lens once you find that sweet spot. The last camera I used before my 60D was a Sony of some sort (not including my P&S) that my step-dad bought and I couldn't bear to use ISO above 100 because the grain was SO bad I nearly cried, which meant I didn't shoot indoors at all so my mom nagged me forever to get decent pics of her cats (she's not very good with anything technology-related).

To put how bad the grain was in perspective, my 60D at ISO 6400 has probably 1/4 the amount of grain the Sony had at ISO 200.

And no need to stay off the board... If you have good self-control, anyway.

Thanks guys, now waiting for the ups man !! Just one question. Anybody knows if a SB-26/28 can be fired mounted. from my understand there shouldnt be any problem, since are low voltage. I found this page http://www.flickr.com/photos/stratman2/ (external link)

BTW: I don use TTL, i always shoot manual mode.

Congratz, it is a good camera. I like the dial on the back that incorporates the directional pad. I hope Canon does this for future cameras as well.

You do know that for some the 60d does things that make it a better machine than the 7d. If you don't need the af system, extra fps and weather sealing you gain AGS, Swivel screen and a lighter body.

I use my swivel screen all the time. For some it may be a gimmick, but for others, it has become an essential part of their shooting habits.

Congrats to the OP on his purchase.
