This has now been repainted in Korean colours- overall black with red markings ( It's original scheme I believe )

Gundy I seem to remember seeing either this or another F4U painted in this scheme on the show circuit back in around 1980 or so. IIRC the French Navy colours were original owner.

You may be thinking of Lindsay Walton's F4U - 7 133722 which had Yellow Suez stripes on it I think !!

It may well have been. It is after all thirty years ago, oh god how time flies by. I would love to be able to dig out my old photo's but unfortunately all my old slides, negs and prints were all destroyed when my home got flooded, no backups in the analogue age either.
