First attempt tonight using 60d with Sigma 30mm F1.4

F1.6
15 sec.
iso 1600
Had a tough time processing the image. If somebody has some workflows or tutorials they would like to share that would be great. I was all over in lightroom....

Jan 29, 2011 18:20 | #9 Thanks for the comments. I tried boosting the contrast but found I lost some of the "glow" or "cloud-like" patterns in the stars that I like. I might just have to play with curves a bit more and I'm not very good with curves. I always end up destroying the image LOL.

Since you commented about post processing, I just couldn't resist playing around with it. I kind of feel that what I did managed to intensify the star field, which is what I wanted to do. But, it did add some noise and some haloing around the silhouetted trees. You be the judge. Ron......
