So my usual Saturday morning challenge to myself is to go take pics of these ducks running across the water. I worked more at trying to get them flying/running towards me this time but it's so random. This one has a little PP done to it and a crop to try to direct the energy through the frame.

I think I need a higher shutter speed than 1000... so will try that next time. I wish I had the 400 2.8 but that's on my wish list.

Good Eagle food on the Mississippi in the spring and summer. Nice captures.

Oops... that's the equivalent of me saying something like "Hey...my cup holder isn't working on my computer" to a group of computer geeks. I'll remember that next time.

Thanks for the compliments... I'm driven to capture shots like you all show out here and it's going to take lots and lots of practice. I like a challenge even if it's going to take years. :D

I think your shots look fine - I prefer the cleaner reflection of the first to the second. I agree that a bit more shutter speed will probably help you out, but I think a much lower perspective will yield an even bigger improvement.
