I noticed that our British members post their figures in pounds with the little squiggly instead of course the $ sign. What are the different characters that can be found on keyboards depending on which country they are sold ?

Here are a couple more. Anybody want to venture a guess as to what some of these (non-obvious ones) are? :)

$ € ₣ ₤ £ ₱ ¥ ₩ ₦ ₭ ฿

[Edit: OK, I admit, not all of these are probably found on the keyboard itself, although they are accessible somehow using the keyboard. :D]

On the Mac you just use the Alt-key if you need those deep hidden characters, such as the cool ç that the french use and ø as the norwegians and dane uses (on my Swedish keyboard I have the å ä ö all visible). ƒun!

I've always used the Alt key on my PC to create special characters but how do you do it on the Mac using the Alt key. I've tried many a times but I could never get it to work for me. So what am I doing wrong? :confused:
