My niece brought over some files for a school project for me to print. They were created in Print Shop and are saved as ".sig" files. I cannot open or print these. My search efforts for a converter have turned up nothing.

Is anyone aware of a conversion program? Converting .sig to .jpg or .pdf would be fine. Thanks.

I've never worked with them. I googled "file format .sig" and got the following page with some possible links for you:

Those are the same ones I tried when I did my searches. Every program that says they do all or almost all file formats don't do ".sig" files. This is the first time I have ever found that no converters would work. Thanks for the help, anyway. I definitely appreciate it.

It sounds like you'd want her to re-save as high quality jpegs, unless you install the software -- is there a free trial for it?

Her program will not save to jpg. Only it's own proprietary format. It will save as pdf, but for some reason that option would not work. Kept getting error messages that the pdf printer driver was missing or malfunctioning. I went down to the local Copyworks and they couldn't do anything either.

She was coming over because they ran out of ink and couldn't afford to get more until the next pay day, which is after her assignment is due.

So, in the interest of time... both hers and mine as I'm crunched for time right now too... I bought her some new ink cartridges.

I think I'm buying her PSE9 for her upcoming birthday. She's into photography also, so it'll be a perfect gift. Then, at least, she can work in common formats and take them anywhere.

For future reference, you can install a PDF printer driver and have any program print to a PDF file. I use the Foxit PDF Creator, but there are free ones out there.
