I've been wanting to shoot my buddies S2000 since i got a DSLR. Well he got some new wheels and weather was actually nice today so we meet up and decide to go downtown to snap a few.

Just 4 pics for now, too tired to edit the rest.

C&C welcomed.

nice! i think a bit more PP work could really make them 'pop' more though.

1 and 2 are ok, could use a bit more PP like mentioned.

3 is blown out a bit and washed out, more contrast perhaps,

4 is blurry, sometimes the blurr can add to the effect, but in this case not so much, looks kinda like a cellphone pic (not trying to be an ass) you probably shot it at about 3/4 of the shutter speed you need to shoot it at, or were on a bumpy road

Some highlights in the side would make them pop more. ;)

1, 3 and 4 look very flat. Work with the available light, not against it! Panning is harder than it seems but nice try. Overall, keep at it. Work on your post work too as it can definitely help in this situation.

Not only quality of light, but the angle it's hitting the subject. This was one of my first car shoots. Notice the picture seems flat and nothing really pops.

Now check out this where I worked with the available light to accent the body lines and added definition.

Try not to shoot in midday harsh sun unless there are clouds out breaking up the direct light. Best time to shoot is usually the hour or so when light starts to go down. I hope this helps.

Haha you pretty much got the first step of doing a car shoot. Making sure things are great before taking the picture so you don't need to try to correct it in post. I'm looking forward to a follow up shoot though. Sick s2k (but it needs a hard top ASAP ;))

actually im a lil guilty of PP but i try making sure i have a good background so i dont have to PP.

Removed some trash, took out some poles and powerlines.

This was my 3rd car shoot and trying to apply some lessons learned. I'm 2 months into this but read and shoot as much as i can.

pics from earlier this month, way too much going on with the background...

i like the first one, but straighten the buildings. cars can be pointed downhill, but buildings never (well almost) lean.
