Here's something I had never seen . . .

I shot these in Ouray, CO last weekend. All were taken with 5D Mark II and EF 24-105mm. I used a 2 stop graduated ND on the first one to compensate for the bright snow and sky in the background.

I like the use of the wide angle to show the height of the climbers and how it provides a strong perspective.

Thanks for your comments. In addition to these, I did try some close ups/telephoto but the wide shots were much more effective IMO to show the scale and environment.

Wow! Crazy and great!

It is only a personal preference, but I would check out how #2 looks with less bluish cast to the ice (more like in #3).
