Use a 7D, and currently own both the 70-200 f/2.8 IS II and Sigma 150-500 OS. Any thoughts on if I would be better off with a 2x and the 70-200?

That said, I've seen better copies of the 150-500. Personally, I don't think keeping both (or the Sigma) is necessary with the performance of the Canon overall.

Jan 30, 2011 23:08 | #5 Hmmm, So while the zoom range is great, maybe I would be better off selling off the 150-500, getting a 400 f/5.6, and a 2x for some versatility with the 70-200? Any thoughts on that combo? I do enjoy shooting birds Canon 7D | Canon 70-200 f/2.8L IS II | Sigma 150-500 OS | Canon 24-105

Range is king so if using a 2X on your 70-200 where do you go then. I use both a 1.4 and 2X on the Sigma. Art that takes you there. http://www.artyman.co.uk
