I ahve the G6 w/ the 58 mm thread adpter. What do you guys think about the Kenko KRW-065 PRO-DX, and the Raynox HD-6600 Pro in comparison to the Canon WC-DC58N? They all could be found at B&H if you want to see them. I wanted to have a wide angle lens that could pull back more that .7x, but i do want a crisp picture nevertheless.

Very productive! :-)
I have found three messages about the same subject from the same person in one page.
Is this on purpose?

Geez, you don't have to be a smart ass, I just wanted a question answered, not war/arguement over a simple post.

If I am not mistaken, here you could find lots of information of adapters from other producers and if they are good or bad, just try Search capability of this forum, recently someone asked the same question and lots of unswers.

I cannot help with it, just use Canon adapter and very happy about it.

I assume you looked at this thread as well, it's one of the better threads here on the issue with a lot of very good links ... especially the Kazutoku report: https://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=61000

IMO the further the lens will bring you back, the worse the quality will be.

I can wholeheartedly endorse the Olympus WCON-08 ... it's one of the best lenses and showed no image degradation at all on my G2, which can not be said for all lenses, as I know. (Optics of the G2 and G6 are very similar).
Most likely the WCON-07 is as good, but I have not tried it out.

When testing a wide converter, pay special attention to the corners of the image ... this is where the imperfections will show. DO NOT buy a converter you've only seen web-size images from (you won't see the problems there)! I don't know if the raynox 0.66 PRO is the same Raynox 0,66 lens I've seen on the lensmate link in your other post asking the same question, but this does have a rather blurred image in the corners.

As far as the Olympus WCON is concerned: If you look at OLYMPUSAUCTIONS (external link) on eBay, you can make great deals on NEW converters in scruffed packages. Those sell in the shops for 125-200$ (depending on the model) and can be had a lot cheaper there.

Best regards,
Andy
