I am owner and photographer for c w f photography, I have just started in the past few months. I am currently a graduate student in addition to having photography. I am right now juggling the both, but am open to doing just photography. Want some feedback on ease of use of website, picture quality, pricing, etc.
Thanks.

website: www.cwfphotography.org (external link)
blog: www.cwfphotography.blogspot.com (external link) (as of right now, i am just using blogger, please let me know your impressions of the blog, soon enough i will move to a professional blog.)

Equiptment used for majority of galleries posted: canon rebel xs with both standard 18-55mm lens and 50mm lens
for the "chloe" and "maddie" gallery I used a canon rebel xs with the canon 24-70 L series lens
NOW my standard equiptment is the canon 60D with the 24-70 L series lens...though have not used for a session yet.

please let me know what you think.

Ditch the music. I could only get through about 4 shots before I had to exit.

I don't have much time to look around right now, but I noticed a couple of things right away...

1. Kill the music.
2. Your "cwf" should pop more.

Agreed on the music. I opened it another tab whilst reading the two comments and shut the tab down before the 2nd one. Once I'd muted I went back in.

Agree that the logo doesn't grab your attention either.

Yes, kill the music. The font is fine, but the gray background and green text is a bit hard to read. I generally don't look at prices (I don't do people), but good night.....raise your prices. $50 for up to 2 hours, location shoot, full res pictures/edited and full rights? Do you know your not making any money?

Good luck.

I had a guy design me some logo mock ups. He did 3 designs for $10 and then would make an adjustments you like. They can be done cheap :)

Maybe make them brighter colours? It just seems dull and kind of blends into your background a bit to me.

As for price, I am big on not charging high until i have had the experience to back it up. That is why i am charging so low, also to try and get more foot traffic. BUT that said do you feel that charging that low makes me look ... for lack of better terms... cheap?! Also, I would love the name of that guy that did mock ups for you!! And also if yall have time i would love to hear some feedback on picture quality?! thanks

i do like the presentation on your website. blog is tl;dr for now ;) but looks decent as well.

what i notice about your photographs is that you don't seem to care too much about the horizon. might be me being anal about it, but it is just so easy to fix. and keep an eye on face exposure in portraits, some seem a bit dark to me.

The site seems nice. You're prices are unsustainable if you're trying to operate a business. You have some nice photos but most are lackluster and need more attention paid to lighting and framing....I'm guessing this is more of an experience/learning issue.

i see you worked on your site and photos, much better now. maybe to show what i mean with the tilted horizon: the "lovebirds" gallery, image 19 of 38, the couple standing in front of the loading dock. it is very obvious in this image because of the lines close to the edge of the frame, that should be parallel to the frame borders. it is not tilted much, but because of the closeness to the border of the frame it is very apparent that those lines aren't running as they should. get what i mean? having some trouble to express myself a bit... ;)
