Not to side track the thread but in this day and age of digital is the card really that important anymore. My card has hot photos on it, only my website, name, and email. You're selling photography so drive them to your site for a visual experience. Just my 2cents because it's hard to beat Vistaprint pricing since almost every month you can reorder 250 for free plus $10 shipping Sure pricing for visaprice probably cannot be beat but you only have one chance to make a first impression. As another user said, when someone hands a card printed on a thick stock, my reaction is completely different to a thinner stock. Moments {Photo + Cinema}

My personal experience with them initially was less than stellar, as they seemed to have lost my order and it took several emails and calls to get it straightened out, but to their credit they did the print job for free because of that. I think they may sub out the work to local print companies, so YMMV. Craig

So how important is the card to you? Do you stress about the thickness, quality, etc.? ChrisVLinton.com

I know it is human nature to want the best for nothing but the way I look at this is that this is one of the first opinions someone may have of you. You get what you pay for and presumably you are using these to generate income. If you want to be a business you have to act like one and sometimes that means spending money to maintain or create your image. My last set of cards I had done was at a custom printer and they were alot more than any of the services like Vista, Moo, etc. but money well spent imo. My life is like one big RAW file....way too much post processing needed.

Feb 04, 2011 14:20 | #29 Hey folks, would you recommend 16pt or 24pt? 16pt will cost around 59 for 1000 cards and 24pt will cost 99. What do you all suggest? Moments {Photo + Cinema}
