I got the upgrade yesterday and just did a quick tryout. First thing I noticed is it has a much nicer looking everything, grey like Lightroom and the default settings seemed to me minimal, in the past I turned them off immediately but this looked pretty good, a nice improvement over the original image without looking like I'd wacked it with cold cream and a distortion lens. Then I clicked on the healing brush and adjusted it's size and found it has not only the brush but a healing spot, much like LR and it worked very nicely. I adjusted some shine and moved the new image back to lightroom and put it alongside the original and noticed how fast it had worked.

The series of images that this one was a part of, were ones covering an event and I hadn't been inclined to do more than minimal post production but from what I've just seen in PP 10, next time I'll give it a go.

I only knew about the upgrade because they sent me an email and I clicked on the link, as a special it was only $29 which didn't seem like much, regularly the upgrade will be I think $39.

I had bought 9 recently so the upgrade to 10 was free. I have installed it but have had no time to try it out.

Bohdan - I may be, and probably am, completely wrong.

Thanks for the mini-review, I was just getting ready to post to see if anyone had tried the upgrade. For $29.00 I've got to give it a try.

I'm not ready to rave about it yet, I had a lot of frustration in the past trying to keep the skin looking real but improved and sometimes got some weird skin artifacts when using it but always did manage to find an adjustment to get rid of them in the program. But for starters the software finally looks professional and not home made in the back room. In the past I did everything I could in LR3 and then if I really needed to, I'd go to Portrait Pro for a further fix. I bought Photoshop CS5 to do this but yet have to find the drive to figure out how to use it, LR3 works for most things so well.
