Hi all,
I came across some very interesting reading regarding Nikon 135mm f/2D AF DC-Nikkor last week. Just wonder if anyone own/owned both lenses and LOVE to hear from you, please
Many thanks

Nikon DC (105 or 135) is a beauty. Solid, well made indeed. But, since you probably need AF (?) go for the 135/2. I had, at one time, 6 different 135/2's including the EF as well as the Nikon 105 DC and 135 DC. Sold them all. But, that's a long story for another thread perhaps. GEAR LIST

Back when I first bought t I was trying to decide between the two, and the nikon won. I liked the idea of defocus control, though admittedly, I almost never used it as I really didn't like the look it gave. Some people liked it, I thought the effect made it look like crappy glass. -Lloyd

The bokeh and sharpness of the Nikkor is wonderful.

Now I have few Canon zoom and primes, sound silly to get a Nikon lens. Nikon lenses adapted to Canon mounts lose most or all automation, which is a non-starter for many anyway. I've read of a few Canon shooters using the 14-24, but of course landscape guys have the time. I'm a man - so I'm not that logical sometime. … but I can change. If I have to. I guess. 5D2, 24-105L, 85mm f/1.8, MP960, HG21, crumbling G6+R72, Brownian toddler

Might even make you a better photographer in the long run if you did without some automation. GEAR LIST
