You don't have any contact info...not even a website? Is this going to be black on both sides?

I love simple, but thats a little too simple for my liking. Try making that circular gradient a little more apparent.

Is it going to be black background? The reason I ask is, I like to write stuff on the back. You can't do that if the background is black.

Probably. I can't imagine me writing anything on the back, though. What kind of things do you write on the back of your cards?

I've used it for passwords (i used to have a password-protected gallery), phone numbers, addresses etc.

I would guess the text under the name is going to be to small. In general you don't want to go below a size 7 on a business card.

I can't see a gradient on my monitor, if there's one there, it probably won't show up in print.

If black and white is only going to save you seven dollars go with the color. You'll get a much richer black by doing so. Check the lab you're working with as well. Many printers have specific CMYK values they want you to use to ensure the richest black from their printers.

Oh, good accent! I like it. I can see the texture and a little gradient, but from the way it's displaying on here it looks like it will be extremely subtle. Going to a local printer and getting a sample from a good laser printer will give you a basic idea of how it will print. I speak from experience printed samples will show things the eye never catches on a monitor.

When I mentioned the CMYK values, I mean some printers use a set up of 10 C 15 Y 15 M 98 B, or variations like that.

Where are you planning on printing these?

These are all great tips. Thanks to everyone who is posting in this thread.

I plan on printing at VistaPrint, though I am not devoted to it.

Make the text bigger. Show us the back.

I'm thinking of surrounding the red square with a small tin accent border? What do you think?

How much bigger should the text be? I'm working on the back right now...

add more before presentation, its too early.

add a fake address, phone number, etc etc just to see how it would look
