Anyone going to this EOS Discovery Day event (external link)? It's being held where I work so I can't not go:) I've never been to one before, but I am interested in seeing what it is like. If anyone is considering going, let me know!

Although I am not "new" to photography, I dont think I am considered advanced or intermediate yet. *sigh* I wish I was.

You have to RSVP in advance by emailing aheebsh@bloomberg.net (external link). Definitely can't just show up as security in our building is quite strict:)

My guess is if you have ever taken your camera off green box you are intermediate (if not advanced) in the context of this seminar. Just a guess but not a wild guess. ;)

OMG I never use green box. I also quickly found that the reason I did not like most P&S cameras was because of the auto modes (portrait, night, fireworks, blah blah) I felt sooooo restricted with them. ALthough they are on my xs, I RARELY if ever use them.

I'm considering going from Panama City to Tampa (North Tampa Photo) for the DSLR EOS Discovery event Friday night. I'm certainly no "green box" video shooter but I'm certainly not prime material for Nat Geo either. What's it like for the "intermediate" shooter? http://www.YouTube.com/realtytour (external link) (examples)

Any advice?

its ok..i'd still consider the intermediate session for beginners. if you know how to shoot, its not very informative
