I was down in Tucson this week--tried to get some birds--but ended up with this butterfly--and I don't even know what kind he is! :o

It looks like some kind of Swallowtail. The only thing I would fix is the pink that sticks out from the top of the wing, otherwise this is a very fine photo! Well done.

Great photo, pleasing contrast between the flower and the butterfly.

Nice shot, Bonnie. I like the fact that the flower and butterfly are both in focus.

Great shot, Bonnie. Love the colors.

Yours looks like a black swallowtail:

Yes, after a little searching I do believe this is a swallow tail. We don't have many butterflies around here in Western Washington--so I really was surprised at how many were around in Arizona.
Your suggestion on taking the pink stuff out is great! I'll do that when I make a priont of this.
Thanks!

Thanks Tammie!
After reading about Pipevines--I think this is a female?

Gorgeous, Bonnie. Love the colors and the angle.
