What's a good carrying bag for this flash unit? I'm not looking for a flight case -- a good padded bag will suffice!

Just to be clear, I don't need it to carry stands or modifiers, only one or two strobes and accompanying cables.

I Know people have used the $29 rolling luggage bag from walmart, the one that has a bottom compartment that is perfect for light stands, but it holds 3 alienbees + stands and cables perfectly so it might be a little big for you

I'm looking around for carrying bags too. Like what Mike said, I think a regular rolling bag might do the trick better than trying to find a dedicated bag for strobes. You can always add foam padding.

I'll see what others have to chime in with. They might have better suggestions.

I did a little browsing for that $29 bag and found this. Is that it?

I think for some reason they don't list it online, that one is the same idea but I think that one in the link is bigger, the next time I'm at walmart I'll have to get the upc # and a picture of it, out of the 7 walmarts I frequent I have seen the bag I was talking about on the shelf

This is what I used - it holds two genesis 200s.

It will also hold all your cables, cords, and even a mini light stand if you pack it carefully.

Still putting it through its paces, and waiting for my new Speedotron beauty dish to arrive in the mail. With the 300B and my 580 EXIIs (with Quantum batteries) I can do a lot of location type work without having to depend on having a power outlet for the strobes.

I'm a bit disappointed with the power output though - it's more of a 3.5 stop difference than the 5 stop that the manufacturer claims.

For the most part, it's a good, sturdy flash, and it doesn't feel cheap - the battery is not heavy like the Vagabond units, and I can get about 200 full power flashes out of it. It uses all my Elinchrom mounted modifiers, so i'm pretty happy. :)
