I love my old Blue Canon EOS strap...it is from my 35mm EOS1000F/FN (Rebel/Rebel II) days

it is my lucky strap, have taken some great shots with it on my Cameras, yeah it looks tatty and faded but that is the point. It tells a story, as does my old Billingham bag

This for me.

The strap gets in my way all the time but I am so terrified I might drop it one of these days I always keep it on. The hassle is worth the extra insurance.

Neck strap wrapped around my arm 3 times. I like that better then a handstrap, neck strap for changing lens only.

No strap!!! Unless I will have it with me all day with no bag (i.e. theme park) they simply cause more problems than they fix. I am by far no muscle man. But the body, lens, and grip is just not that heavy enough to worry about. But it just may be that I am used to holding it all day.

I have seen more cameras pulled off of tables, benches, walls, trash cans, strolers, etc...etc..... by the strap (getting hooked by something/someone), than I have seen the strap save by being used properly, by the order of a magnatude.

I do use them from time to time. But it does pain me to put it on.

I use both neck and hand strap. Like others, I like the security.

The strap gets in the way and its not long enough for me. I keep it in the bag in case I wanna walk around without my bag at a carnival/festival/fair -- when I'm treating it like a P&S.

I also like to hold the camera cradled 'backwards' in my left hand with the lens laying along my forearm. The body rests in the crease of my palm and my fingers wrap up over the LCD, my thumb wedges between the lens and grip.
Without the lens cap on it's very comfortable and the camera is ready to grab with my right hand when I want to shoot and the lens is protected from knocks and swinging around.

What's the point of having the camera out of the bag if you're not going to shoot with it? This way I'm always ready and feel more secure as I can hold it close when walking through crowds or hold it above my head.

Neck straps and hand straps. I don't like them!

I like making photos and sometimes I think I'm getting better... then I realise it doesn't matter. I like making photos!

Wrist strap and black rapid r-strap with the 7d...

The only problem I find is taking a portrait shot with an r-strap, especially if you are wearing bulky clothing...

You'd never catch me without a guitar strap with strap locks, but I prefer to carry my camera by the big handle on the right side of the body!
