The strap gets in the way and its not long enough for me.

I agree, I'd like a longer strap. I keep mine on though, as I use it on my shoulder.

Neck strap always for me...don't remember taking it off once I put it on my camera for the first time.

replacing the standard canon one with - http://cgi.ebay.com …m2a0d68f0c1#ht_6419wt_905 (external link) to wrap around my wrist more comfortably.

Black rapid RS-7

^^ same here.

Only, I may use it once in a blue moon.

I do not like the straps, I feel comfortable carrying the camera without it. I will put the camera in my bag if the climb I have is tough, taking it back out as soon as i recover from that type of climb.

I have 3 Canon neck straps with 0 miles on them.

just a few of my thoughts...

I have 2 Crumpler Industry Disgrace Strap here..

they are long enough to wear across the body, I have no problem with straps whatsoever, save me the headache of ever thinking about the camera whenever I let it go

and ohh I rarely put it down on the table too when eating it is still slung across my body.

Canon handstrap is on my gripped 40d all the time. When I need my hands free i use my DIY R-Strap. Only used the neckstrap when i got my first DSLR

Modified factory strap

I've added a quick release buckle to it since then and usually just go strapless unless I'm on a long walk or something.

The Canon Rebel "Tit" Sorry I don't know any other word to describe that strap snagging logo carrying protrubence that grabs my strap. My standard strap is on swivels at the ears. The strap always snugs under that tit-nose under the hotshoe. I've thoufht about glueing a piece of plastic in that slot to hold it out. Your solution is?

Spider pro belt. I love it. I can have two bodies on it all day easily, no neck pain like from a strap.

I find I carry my camera around in my hand more often than not for the sort of shooting I do and for the amount of time I'm out. Recently thought I'd try a hand-strap. Hated it for some reason.

When I'm travelling around with camera all day (eg overseas/holidays), I used the Blackrapid RS-7. Love it.

No strap for me, much easier to operate and no mess. If I need to have the camera on ready for extended duration and moving about a lot, then I will put on the BlackRapid RS4.
