is there a way to edit movies with the bundled software?

only thing that i've seen in the manual thus far says to edit them in the camera, which seems strange to me.

As far as I know, none of the bundled software that comes with the G3 will allow you to edit the movies taken with the camera.

If you have Windows XP, you might be able to use the Movie Maker that comes with XP. Otherwise, you'd have to shell out about $50 to $100 for a video editing software, such as Ulead's Video Studio (good product!) or Roxio's Video Wave.

You can download a trial version of Video Studio from http://www.ulead.com (external link).

Or you might be able to find a shareware program at http://www.dvdrhelp.com (external link)

Get Virtualdub. It's free and very good (www.virtualdub.com (external link)). You do need an mjpeg codec though. Email me and I will send a codec to you.

You can download MS-Movie Maker (certainly works for Windows ME) from the MS website - I used Windows Update.

With this simple program you can edit your clips and stick still photos in the middle to break it up a bit.

Nice and easy with instant results.........just what I like.

Regards

Dave

Didn't you still need an mjpeg codec?

Not that I know of.......unless it was also installed as part of the Windows Update routine.
