Went out to Lockhart, TX this past weekend to try out some BBQ from the big 4 down there. Went to Black's. If you don't know about that city and BBQ, just google it. Needless to say, the BBQ wasn't that great.. heh. Did manage to get some pics out with the 24-70L.

Played around a little in PS, tried to do a fake HDR with single image. I kinda dig it though, but trying to decide if I went overboard on it.

I'm sure many would disagree but for my taste, it's pushed too far.

Not bad, but maybe just a little too far for my taste too.

What parts should I pull back on it?

Actually, I like it better than most of the HDRs we see here. But not as much as a average 'late light' shot.

Hmm.. I sometimes like over processed stuff like this.. Esp when it's something old and left out. I'm playing around with it now and using less USM on it. But it's late and I'm tired and cold.

Really trying to figure out my process for editing. This is a little less over the top.

PS: "Late light"?

I like the treatment and don't think it over done at all...it emphasizes those great textures..it's relative.
That is one long truck!

Great job, take 2 looks much better! The color of the blue truck was too much for me in the first photo. You'll really toned it down in the second image and it looks much more natural.

I need to combine em. I do like the truck in #2, but all the textures of the bricks and all in #1.

Thanks!
