Love it! A monotone that shows a warm glow - I think of sand, heat, NON Western! The arches are Romanesque and have a southern feel to them.

This pic was shot at 25600 iso, handheld at 1/40th sec, f4. La Ponte Vecchio is such a wonderful subject any time of the day. I do love the capability of the 5D Mk III.

Not a bad shot for f4 and such a high iso. Really does speak for the new tech. If it were my photo, I would probably clean up the noise and maybe play with the crop a little as it seems it's a little bottom heavy. That would probably be alright if the reflection was more crisp. Good comp overall tho. 7/10

Interesting shot , but I think it could've been better if you had taken a few steps to the right. That way you would see more of the sign also the smoke looks good but obscures the girls face. 6/10

9/10 Nice composition. Too bad there weren't a few more in the air. That might have... Ahem... LIFTED... it to a 10/10.

So I entered this into one of those challenges. The theme is Triangles. And there is a triangle in this photo. :)

Bearing in mind I am a complete novice and the rating should be taken in that light .... I rate the pic 9/10, I love the composition and the rays of light are lovely, I am not sure I like the really dark section of clouds at the top, and may have cropped this a little more ..

Here is my pic ...

Welcome to the forum Neil.

I can appreciate the fact that you took the trouble to set up a "backdrop" for your shoot. Not sure if you or the parents dressed the subject but nonetheless love the outfit. As for the shot I will give you a 5/10 as there is not much "bang" I'm getting from it. Get yourself a umbrella and a off camera speedlite and witness the result for yourself. I need to add: Do not let ratings like this get you down! Shoot Shoot Shoot!!

8/10. I really like how her eyes match the color of the bikini, piercing and the ocean in the background. I don't like how you cut off her toe, and she seems almost squeezed into the frame, just able to fit.

7/10 - This shot is beautiful in that the composition is quite well done. I'm a sucker for shots of snow on bare trees. The only real negative I see if that it lacks a bit of originality.

9/10, great looking product shot! I personally would would have preferred a bit wider depth of field, but it still works very well.

9/10 Good composition, sharp and what looks like a good location. I like the lighting but feel that a bit more on the front right corner would have looked better

7/10. I like the composition and the lines of the bridge leading your eyes down the peer. Also really like those little streaks of blue just poking through the cracks.

Not much that could really be done about it but the way that shadow on the left falls into the middle of the frame and the dude on the right ruin the symmetry for me unfortunately. Still a nice shot though.

7/10. I like night images, this shoot looks very well exposed but I'm distracted buy the street lights and buildings on either side of the Church and the small bit of tree on the top of the image.
