7/10 Too shallow DOF. I would like to see the whole face in focus. Also, maybe no vignette. <- could go either way though.

8/10. love the colors. I think it could have been composed just slightly better, though. The tree cut off on the left side is just a little distracting. I think with a smaller aperture, the ridge of the mountain coulda been a little sharper, too.

9/10 Not a big fan of cats (allergic) but I won't hold that against you. Love the Bokeh but I would like to see whatever that thing is at the top near the cats head (book maybe) gone. It's a little distracting.

7/10 The bird is cropped to tight on right and bottom. Also looks a touch cool on my (uncalibrated) monitor. Background is a bit noisy, but you don't get much choice in that I guess.

Where sporks come from.

Ha ha, a spork. That it funny! Wish the camera wasn't in the reflection on the mama spoon, maybe turn it a bit during the shot? Also the shadows of the fork and spoon don't line up with that of the spork. 6/10

Let me chime in on this. He said the composition was boring mean that the way the image was set up, the angle you chose to take the image was not as interesting as he's like it to me. And then they go on to explain as to why the composition is not interesting.

This thread is designed to help people grow as photographers. If you are defensive about people judging your work then it might be best to keep away from the critique section. My suggestion for that picture would be: if you wanted the cross in the pictures, have you tried to taking the photo from different angles and different apertures? Also, these is quite a bit of purple fringing in all the shiny parts of the image which can be removed in post, but is a common trait for any lens when shooting wide open.

As for the one you posted below. I like the colors and the bokeh, but I'm wondering what that black object in the background is. I feel it takes a bit away from those spikes 5.5/10

Here is my submission for critique.

i dont see anything wrong in this pic .. all good .. but a little more color toning to the clouds and rays would have helped. yet would give a 8/10.

Here is mine . Not a Bird watcher or a Bird photographer .. but got this during the sunset at one of the parks.

8.5 out of 10 - would be better with the feet in the picture.

Yeah it was either the umbrella or me in the spoon, I guess I could have angled it down some. The shadows weren't added though I just had 3 flashes so it just looks a bit strange I guess, but I do see your point about looking odd. I should have cloned out the spork one probably.

Love the detail in the shot! I wish it was wider though so I see more of what is going on. 7/10
