Great picture, love the pose, interesting B&W and contrast. I like the hair over the face but rather see the face. to me it would show more emotion. 7/10

Nice classy portrait, love the light. 8/10

thats some shallow dof maybe a bit too shallow cause it makes the leaf look soft... could use a touch more exposure... but its a good shot for being so wide open... 7/10

^^ great lighting -- I like the black backdrop over the white. Just makes the colors seem a lot more vibrant. Just wish there was a little less fall off on the leaf as it looks like it is coming out of nowhere (9/10)

^^ random people are distracting. 6/10 this would be a cool shot at night. Long exposures...

I know what you mean. I invested in ND filters after that to be able to bring the exposure to a couple of seconds in the day time. Really helps take out the distractions of random people.

I like the colors, good bokeh. But I think the subject was not sharp enough and it was sharpened way too much during post(or maybe it is my screen) 6/10

The colors seem a bit dull and soft to me. Composition-wise, I think it'd be better if the grass blade wasn't sitting in front of the insect's face. (7/10)

I'm just starting out, so please don't hold back with the critique.

But I don't see the picture? I would have rated it otherwise.

EDIT: *sigh* after some scrolling up, I found it. The portrait of the man with the missing body (ha ha), is a fascinating concept. I do enjoy the grainy B/W picture and the post-processing, its vastly better than what I'd be capable of. 8/10.

Awesome picture. I like that I can see the face of determination on the rider, but some aspects of the picture seems badly photoshopped. Take for instance the solid white line along the track seems really uneven and the underside of the motorcycle behind the first rider seems like it was placed in the image instead of being a part of it. I am not sure whether that's the result of your work or your camera? 7/10.

I'll rate yours since it's the last with a rating and a picture:

I quite like it, though I find the straw in the foreground a bit distracting. And the colours look a bit washed out. 6/10.

Very nice considering the light pollution from the city. Spotted the big dipper without the title. haha
Only nitpick for me is the 10 sec exposure gave the trees at the bottom a small bit of motion blur which distracted my eyes a bit. (8.5/10)

First try at panorama. Larger size in Flickr.
