I was laughing at, "you must be new to photography like I am." Is there anything else that you'd like to nitpick?

We're just trying to help man... Accepting criticism is hard, but it makes you better in the long run.

His quote reflects a third party's opinion on your results, it doesn't matter how long you've been doing it.

What are you having a problem with?
Movies did it all the time using a dark blue filter & underexposing. I found this link for you: Shooting Day For Night. (external link)

Thanks for the link. I just heard that term used before; but responding as if someone is an ignorant child for asking a simple question doesn't help us much.

And you did find out, that was a great link; it answered what I was looking for. :) So thank you!

The tone of the post, though, came off as somewhat clipped and impatient. Asking a question back and then answering the original without waiting for a response comes off that way; mainly because we don't have the luxury of hearing the individual 'beats' in a normal, verbal conversation. As such, typed responses get read all at once, which changes the innate 'tone' of the message. I usually manage to keep that in mind a bit better, so I apologize for my part in misinterpreting it...I was a bit tired then. :(
