I am trying to determine actuations from 1Ds 2 raw file (*.CR2). when I opened it
with adobe photoshop CR4 or element 8, using [file info], I can get ImageNumber
in raw file (in the line: aux:ImageNumber:36890). However, when I use
1Dcount program I got something really huge number, around 119678 with the same
raw file. Anyone can help me to determine which one is right. I read somewhere that
1Dcount read more native data than adobe. Is there another way to determine
actuations from raw file.

The person you bought it from probably reset the on-board counter at some point hence the 36,890 count. I'm sure the real image count would be 119,678 like it says. Do a search on here and there are a couple of counter programs you can download that will give you the correct image count.

Take Care,
Cheers, Patrick

Isn't this the exact same question you asked in another thread?
Why ask the same question twice?
