First one is a house sparrow. Not sure about the second one.

1. House Sparrow, taking a dirt bath

2. Not sure; if pressed, I'd say female, White-crowned Sparrow. Wouldn't put money on it, though.

3. A flycatcher of some sort; can't tell, myself, from that angle

4. Pair of Pintails

5. American Widgeon

Some nice shots there; those sparrows have some great color and detail :)

Thanks for the IDs. I need that facepalm emoticon. We do have house sparrows back home and I actually have shot them usually picking up dropped seeds on the deck. I'm just used to seeing them in that environment. :oops:
