EOS EF - FD Lens Adapter

Can someone provide some info on this? There are two types of FD attachment rings I'm aware of; Silver ring and non-silver ring. See the pictures. I understand using FD lenses will require manual settings for both aperture and focus. But what adapters do you recommend? I don't believe 1 adapter will work with both types of ring.
