I am looking for a good indoor prime lens to use under low light conditions. I am using 1D Mark III so I am dealing with 1.3 Crop factor.

I have the 85mm 1.8 but it's to tight for most stuff. I was considering the Sigma 30mm 1.4.

If anyone has other good lenses to recommend for this shooting situation, please let me know.:D

I would go with the 35L

Depending on the budget, I use 24L II and 50L on my 1.3x crop

Can't go wrong with the 200mm f/2L.

I love the 35L on my FF camera. Perhaps 24L b/c you're on a 1.3 crop camera.

The sigma 30/1.4 is a crop lens, and will vignette on a 1D.

Some options depending on budget:
EF 28/1.8
EF 35 /2
EF 35L <- was my choice
EF 24L
EF 50L

Actually it is hardly noticeable unless you want to shoot at f4 or slower. But then who buys f1.4 lens to use at f4. I even shot at f8 and was able to get 8x10 crop from the full frame with some vignetting on the corners but not bad.

You suggest a lens that is not really useable on the camera body the OP owns, and I get the rolleyes....brutal

OP's requirements were an indoor lens for low light.....kinda throws f4 and slower out the window....

If you could stretch the budget a little (extra $75), or pick up a used copy, I'd recommend the 28/1.8

Build quality that matches your 85/1.8, USM, and decently sharp from f/2 or so.

I shoot that combo ALL the time, and it works just perfectly. If you don't know what you're talking about, keep your opinions to yourself and quit confusing the OP.
