Here is a shot of some Dunlin on the Oregon Coast. The Great Horned Owl is an image that I found in my ehd. My lone shot of a GHOw :D.

I have had image posting problems recently so please let me know if they aren't showing up and i'll try to fix it.

I really like the first one. You really nailed it - the focus is great, and there's just enough of them to convey a lot of motion. How wide could you have gone with this? Were there more birds? That's amazing.

There were about 3500 birds in total...I would have gone wider but it was on the beach and I didnt want to change lens'.

Love the first one. And, I have yet to grab an image of an owl. But, I have seen them while taking evening walks.

Straightening...lol. Every time I straighten the horizon, I hang the picture crooked.

#1 almost overpowers the eyes!! Great image, thanks for sharing.

The beginner clicks the shutter and says "Let's see what I got." ... The experienced photographer thinks "How can I capture what I see?"

Cool on the Dunlin At first glance my eyes said Why the fabric geometric print? After a refocus Ah yes, A flock. heads and wings.I never had the guts or reflex to capture them. Kinda of yup there's another whirlwind of Dunlins. Very rarely see one or two broken away from the flock. That owl is Halloween spooky with the light
good sightings,
Sam

That Dunlin shot really is something. It takes a moment to really see what you are looking at in the photo. Love it.
