I know a lot of us have Facebook fan pages. I stumbled across this not long ago. It's not a perfect solution, but it works very well. It's especially useful if you have email sent to your smartphone. Finally, you can get an email alert when you have activity/comments on your page.

**disclaimer: Maybe I'm the only one geeky enough to care...:)

I've always found it annoying that fb didn't alert me if someone made comment on my photos. So, I started tagging myself in each photo. Solves the problem for the most part. The other part that I solved was the RockMelt Internet browser allows me to add my fan page to the tool bar and it shows a notification when something is added to the wall.

Cheers!

people without Fan pages dont understand that i dont get alerted when they comment on pics so some people get a bit ticked off at me.

So far, it's working well for me. I mean, it is just an email alert, but it's better than nothing. I try to be as interactive as possible with my page, so I hate when I see a comment I missed from a week ago.

How long did it take you to get your invite for RockMelt? I signed up yesterday.

Tagging yourself is a good idea. I wish I could make up some reason why I hadn't thought of that, but it boils down to a "duh" moment.

thanks
