Can I ask a few question please, but first lovely sharp images cool !!

What species is this an American red??

How do find the EOS R and the 400DO combined ha ha bar the results I can see. The one thing I don't love about my DX ii at times is the racket it makes, with somewhat skittish beasties. Sometimes I can use the shutter noise to my advantage ,but often I'd really rather they didn't know I was there. So I have sort of wondered about the EOS r I don't really want another camera at all, I'm really happy and LUCKY to have what I do, really lucky. But sound is such a big deal so some of my favoured subjects it makes life tricky at times.

many thanks lovey images particularly like the first:-)

cheers

stu

Adorable little rodent, isn't he? We lay bird seed on the railing of our deck, but it is hard to keep it there for the birds because he keeps raiding it.

A different thief this time, I know because this one is not missing a piece out of his left ear! You have to admit, they are cute little fellas though!

I have love-hate relationship with my yard squirrels. I love them because they're photogenic. I hate them because they constantly raid my bird feeders and fruit trees. I had about 15 Fuji apples that I was about to harvest about a month ago. When I went to the tree, they were all gone, every single one of them.

A very, very dark and wet UK November day, but that doesn't stop this ingenious fellow from stealing the birds' food, despite all my efforts to prevent him from doing so

Put up some new bird feeders after the squirrels managed to destroy the last ones.

Squirrels greatly approve of the new ones for two reasons. First they are bigger diameter so an easier stretch to the feeder from the post and even get onto the feeder. Second, they have a "pan" at the bottom for loose seed which makes it even easier to snatch seed instead of trying to get it from the feeding holes as well as a comfortable seat for the little jerks.

Looks like I will need to redo the posts that hold the feeders to make it a little more difficult for them...
