Of course it would depend on how much we are talking about and how it is show in the picture :)

It's not too bad clone stamping out a stray hair or two, blemishes and whatnot, but if it's an entire arm that the clone-stamp has nothing to work with, I'd say you're out of luck. Also, when it comes to that much of a change, I would be concerned about the subject noticing you PSed her arm hair out and she might take offense to it.

I hope you have more shots of her to work with :)

It is always amazing to me that women with hairy arms will go sleeveless for portraits anyway. Hairy arms not withstanding, I always tell my clients, male or female, to wear long sleeves for portraits. You don't need that large expanse of white skin competing with the face.

In this particular example I think it's a pretty easy PS job that the subject wouldn't notice at all.

Use paths to make a selection in photoshop and clone stamp the area around the arms. pretty easy fix with such a dark background.

Or couldn't you simply move the back light a few feet in either direction? I feel like that would reduce the effect a lot.

That was an untouched photo. I just posted it because it followed OP's thread title and I thought it was kinda funny. Hench why there is no watermark on that one.
