Cactus V5 Concern

I just got this an hour ago and haven't tried yet. My concern is the guy who used to own this didn't really use it cuz he said it didn't work on his 580ex II.

I don't know if that's true... Kinda bother me a little.

It works fine on my 580EXII...


Cameras: Canon 60D and 20D

I just got mine from Hong Kong today. I've tested it on my 5D and 580EXII. So far it triggers reliably and without apparent ill effects up to 1/200. When I put the flash in HSS mode, it'll then let me raise the shutter speed beyond 1/200, but without illuminating the entire frame.

It was a bit snug getting it onto the flash, but not too bad. The plastic foot/stand is pretty flimsy looking though.

Yeah, that's what I don't get but why don't you just try it out? Or is it still on it's way to you or something?

So you bought the cactus v5 used? Its only been out for a week.

no, that's the curtain closing... Cactus V5's don't support HSS..
