I just got this an hour ago and haven't tried yet. My concern is the guy who used to own this didn't really use it cuz he said it didn't work on his 580ex II. I don't know if that's true... Kinda bother me a little.

Feb 03, 2011 18:39 | #7 I just got mine from Hong Kong today. I've tested it on my 5D and 580EXII. So far it triggers reliably and without apparent ill effects up to 1/200. When I put the flash in HSS mode, it'll then let me raise the shutter speed beyond 1/200, but without illuminating the entire frame.

The plastic foot/stand is pretty flimsy looking though. no, that's the curtain closing... Cactus V5's don't support HSS.. Robert Whetton
