OK guys this is my first post in a long time.

Currently I have 24-105 I love the range and the "IS" I will keep this lens and want to add one more to my collection. I want f2.8. I have been thinking about 16-35 f2.8 II, but I don't think 35mm will do it for me. I could do a lot with my 50mm f1.4 primer and have used it as my walk around lens to everywhere. I think 24 on my 50D is more than wide enough for me. What do you guys think about 24-70 in addition to 24-105? 24-105 for outdoor with light 24-70 for in/outdoor with low light.

I'd go 17-55. You don't get the build quality, but you get a little more on the wider side, and you can save some money. Then you don't have 2 lenses that start at 24mm.

^^Agree, 17-55 on crop to cover wider angle.
I know that it seems wide enough 24mm on crop, but I change my mind after having wider FOV.

I want L quality so ill go with 16-35. There is something about red ring that I am sold on. I wish Canon makes 15-60 L f2.8 with IS.

^^^^Yeah, the red ring is just tempting, I bought 100L only because the red ring and build quality too.
Nice decision anyway, complementing your 24-105.
