I was flyfishing at dusk and they walked within fifty feet of me. All I had on was the 55-250 IS for weight saving purposes, and it did a nice job.

Yellowstone is amazing. I wasn't lucky enough to see a moose when I went last summer. Nice capture!

I read somewhere that "Luck" was being prepared while at the right place at the right time. You definitely had a lucky day! I like the image. Now the big question: How many fish did you catch? :)

I ended up catching two Yellowstone cutthroat trout on a fly rod. I don't remember which pattern. I can tell you the moose did not like it when I moved the fly rod. It was only when I set it upon the ground that they came near me. The calf kept peeking through a bush, then running back to her mom. When I set the rod down she came all the way out and proceeded to the stream, with mom following. You have to be careful if you're a moose out there. The tree line in the background is where the wolves are seen. Wild country.

The fishing is incredible there, too.
