Hey guys... couldn't find what I was looking for on google or when I searched the topics here, so maybe someone here can help...

I'm traveling abroad to some volatile areas, and a lot of them require press photogs to have a vest that clearly states "press" blue is the color they want us to wear along with our press accreditation cards...I could only find the ridiculous orange safety ones, and that's not what I'm searching for... If anyone can point me in the direction please post here!! thanks

Have never seen one in blue, but you could get some RIT fabric dye and run the vest through the washing machine per the instructions on the dye bottle. That should get you the color you need. If you are US based, you can find it at most fabric stores, and Walmart.

Alright - thanks for the tip. Do you have any info on other colored ones...maybe black?

1. Google "Blue Vest" and pick one of the thousands of options.

2. Buy some iron on letters or the print and iron sheets. Take your time cutting and ironing on and youll have a nice looking vest.

no worries guys. He'll also custom make you anything you want... I'm in the process of deciding between something with loops everywhere so I can use my existing TT pouches, or something with velcro flapped tops (I'm not a zipper fan).

Completely off topic but I’m absolutely not a velcro fan. If you are stalking, you so don’t want that velcro tear. Unfortunately, it's ubiquitous.

I don't think it's off the topic at all. Perhaps that's why the black Elite vest at www.thevestguy.com (external link) has zipper pockets rather than Velcro in the Expedition and Explorer.

The http://www.vestedinterest.com/ (external link)makes custom vests with or without velcro, snaps or zippers. I got one a few months back and it is far better then any other vest I tried on. They can do custom colors too but I'm sure it will cost extra.

yeah, I totally understand why OTHER people would want zippers, they're just not for me. But that's also why I'm thinking about having it setup for TT modular components because they make both zipper and velcro options and their velcro bags have "silencers". :D
