A reasonably accurate explanation of the whole Ritz/Wolf thing can be found here:

As far as the Canon vs. Ritz business, Ritz simply left Canon holding the bag and Canon didn't care for it. Besides which, Canon being a company with some honor, they wouldn't play ball with kickbacks and other such crap. Ritz salespeople (being salespeople, with all that that implies) pushed other brands. Canon, therefore, was always a "poor seller" in the Ritz world.
Now, this business of discontinuing Canon-mount Quantaray lenses is just plain stupid.
Quantaray lenses are nothing but rebadged lesser-grade Sigma, Tamron, and Samyang lenses. There has never been one produced that, in my opinion, was worth owning. But still, they serve a purpose—sort of.
If, for some reason, you feel a need for a Quantaray lens, go buy the equivalent Phoenix or Vivitar lens instead. At least you can get them from B&H and/or Adorama for the same price.
Discontinuing all Canon-mount Quantarays does absolutely nothing to bother Canon. I doubt they even noticed. It does, however, further hurt their sales base. And this at a time when they literally need every penny they can get.
And yes, Ritz on line still sells some Canon products. But expect delivery of only those items that are leftovers on the shelf. If you order anything else, be prepared for it to be "backordered"—indefinitely. They will charge your credit card up front, though. And, when you finally cancel your order, they will refund the charges, about 90 days later. Expect hassles over shipping fees, which Ritz policies say are not refundable. The fact that the item(s) never shipped is apparently irrelevant to this policy.
Andy Griffith says that Ritz is a "Good cracker. Goooood cracker!" I'd agree, about the crackers. The photo store? Not so much.
