These are the same kind of battery as Eneloops and dirt cheap at Adorama:

Nice price. I needed some more eneloops for my pixel pack. So ordered 3 of these packs.

They are not rebadged Eneloops, if you research further, btw. They may behave similarly to the Eneloops in the sense they are low discharge, but they don't meet the same specs. 75% capacity after 1 year shelf vs 85% on the eneloops, 1000 cycles vs 1500, made in China, etc. However for the price, even if they behave as 80% of the Eneloop, it would be fine.

Looks like Sony was selling Eneloops with a different sticker but not anymore.

You may be right but I just did quick google beforre ordering and most folks seemed happy saying they work like eneloops and so on. I used to pick 8 AAs and 4 AAAs with charger which I never use at Costco for $30 with tax.

I said they were the "same kind of battery", not the same battery.

I was responding to Bobbyz, who said he/she needed more eneloops. :)

Do these work in a standard charger, or is an "Eneloop-specific" charger required?

Thanks.

I always charge my eneloops in regular lacrosse charger.

You can search around adorama. I think there was one for $10, but not free shipping.

Any AA charger works fine for these kind of batteries.

I myself just purchased 8 eneloops plus a charger pack. I bought LivingSocial's $20 Amazon gift card for $10 when they had the deal, then found the 8 pack + charger Eneloops on amazon for $29, free shipping. So for $19 I got a good deal.

For those that don't know, one of the best sources for Eneloops is Thomas Distributing in the US...

4 x 4 packs of AAs, for example, go for $39.
